Hello Everyone!
I want to wish every one of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy, healthy New Year!
This is a photo of Emerald Lake Lodge in Yoho National Park, just 135 miles ( 217 kilometers) from Calgary. It is located just on the British Columbia side of the Alberta/B.C. border, a mile off Canada’s Trans Canada Highway #1. If you are looking for a quiet, beautiful mountain getaway with easy access, this is the place to go.
Yoho National Park is one of four contiguous National Parks in Canada - Banff, Yoho, Jasper, and Glacier. These parks, along with several provincial parks, were our “winter playgrounds” when we lived in Alberta. This type of scene comes to mind whenever I hear the Christmas carol, “White Christmas.”
Although I have lived in Texas for 32 years,
Christmas just never feels the same without snow.
However, I have to admit, December 25th is the ONLY day of the year I miss snow.
