Texas! heh! Home sweet home for sure! Still, 35E is often a battle zone to be avoided. I imagine 35 W (closer to you) is too, especially with all the construction.
35W isn’t close to me, but I45 is fairly close. 35E & 35W have both been battle zones since I moved to Texas 35 years ago. My battle zone is dodging deers, cows and armadillos on the dirt roads back here in East Texas and trying to keep my cute AWD SUV on the dirt track. Every trip is an adventure. One time I had a giant hog challenge me… he was so big I thought he was a cow! We had a standoff and he was as tall as the hood of my SUV.
The men back here say, “Little Lady, are y’all carrying a gun in that car? You’ll need a gun back here.”
North Zulch? I've probably driven by it 100 times at least and never noticed it. I'll be watching for it next time I'm over that way. I'll check it out on Google Maps to make sure I don't blink and miss it.
I swear there are a people like that ignoramous driver that wake up each morning just looking to be annoyed with the world. Rather than being concerned for seeing a driver going the wrong way and simply flashing his lights at your SUV, he took to confrontation. Great to hear though it all worked out!
The road was a full size two lane road. Why a park needed such a road, I do not know. However, there was enough room for two semi-trucks to pass each other.
Lol! It all worked out. I’m sure he didn’t get the response he expected. Expect the Unexpected when dealing with me.
Our front room picture window faces a major Interstate and an astounding amount of people go in the wrong direction, it's an easy mistake to make. What annoys me the most is they have eliminated any possibility of being able to pull off to the side should you have a break down or find yourself going in the wrong direction on the wrong side of the highway. Good read!
Wow! That sounds dangerous. The joke of our “one way” was it was a two lane, paved road through a picnic area and it was wide enough for two semi-trucks to pass each other.
Bill, I like to think that you wouldn’t go out of your way to pull your vehicle directly in front of mine and block my way, and then challenge me to a standoff in the middle of nowhere. I guarantee you, the Battle Maiden doesn’t take kindly to nonsense like that!
Oh my goodness, you and I are having similar experiences. A lady tried to run me down here in the HEB parking lot… deliberately backed up on me when I walked behind her car. Then yelled at me, “Don’t make me call the cops on you!” I told her that SHE almost ran me over. Her response… “Don’t make me call the cops.” And she laid rubber going out of the parking lot.
Later Hubs and I saw a lady in a restaurant and she flipped me the bird. OK…
Conclusions, my friend, people don’t like what they don’t understand. Keep a distance between you and those CO drivers and I’ll walk in front of the cars in HEB. Have a great day!

My favorite place off of I45 is North Zulch - it’s truly missable if you blink(I have). It’s near Normangee off of OSR. Heh!

It’s worthy of a story!

If anything, it made the trip eventful.
"Pitbull pitstop" - love it! And, I'll be sure not to mess with you, Lois. . .

I think the most annoying of the whole encounter was that HE changed lanes to make it happen.
Can believe it? No doubt about it, his actions were deliberate. On the bright side, he’s provided a lot of people with entertainment. Best to you Ken.
You go girl!!
These Colorado drivers hate Texas drivers.
They try to sideswipe you as they go by and do not obey any speed limits.
It's a challenge with my Texas blood in me!!

Some people have rule-bound, cul-de-sac, one-way minds. No perspective; no flexibility. Good for you for not giving that guy any satisfaction.
You done right and jerk got off easy ;)
