Having been to Bangkok I could picture every moment. Not sure I'll get back there tho' my son is planning to retire there and searching for a condo to buy (he lives in HK). I don't think even when I was younger I could do over 300 stair steps mostly because of the heat and humidity there. I say that as someone who lived in deserts, Louisiana, Texas, and Florida. Can't imagine doing it with a migraine.
I didn’t break any speed records going up and I had my faithful bodyguard beside me every step of the way. Lol! I made far better time going down!
The heat was unbearable! I didn’t expect it to be an issue as I was in Thailand at exactly the same time the previous year. However, it was stifling trying to work out with all the humidity. That surprised me because I lived in Houston at the time, so I thought I was quite used to hot, muggy weather.
I think Thailand would be an interesting place to retire. It certainly would be economical.
Thanks, Ed. It was quite an eye-opening experience. No one had ever called me “old” before. If I recall, Matee even told me, “In Thailand, women your age sit in rocking chairs… not go to fitness camp.” The way he guarded me, you would have thought I was 102 years old. He was a terrific young man with a great attitude, and I learned a lot about the Thai people and culture from him. Lord knows we spent enough time together!
Fantastic adventure!!! Well done and
Well

Another fascinating adventure, Lois.
Thanks Bill. You Old, You Very, Very Old is one of my favorites. It was so hilarious when I was living the events! What fun!

Thanks, Jimmy. It had a lasting impact on me.
Fun adventure read! I've gotta go to thailand
You and Auntie M would really like Thailand. I recommend you head to the northern part of the country toward Chaing Rai and Chaing Mai.
Thanks for the info. I'm hoping to make it over there sometime soon.
