What a fun trip with your best friend! SMA is precious. I haven't been yet, but it's definitely at the top of the list next time in Mexico. Thanks for sharing and glad Old Faithful was sparing this time, Lois!
SMA is one of my favorite places in the world. You will love it. The art, culture and history are enough to keep you occupied for several weeks. Have fun and let me know when you go to SMA.
Awesome adventure! I like how you combined the drama with Old Faithful with fun local information.
"Years ago, my friends in Mexico accused me of trying to transport San Miguel north “one piece at a time.” ----LOL.
BTW, Auntie M and I just got back from Guadalajara, yesterday. She actually performed as her Aunt Boots podcast character for some classrooms in Zapopan. LOTS of fun.
We did the Tequila route, which was amazing. On the way back I saw a sign for SMA and thought of you and your shopping adventures.
John, it's worth every penny. Especially for folks like you and Mrs. M. who like to renew your vows. I can't think of a lovelier place to get married again. If you decide to go, let me know and I'll connect you up with Efrain. You'll need transport from the airport (the closest is one hour away) and he can also help you with all your needs while you are there. I've been there about 40+ times, so I have it down to a science :)
Your adventures are wonderful!
And your story telling puts us right there with you!
Now I understand why you chose the decor at the house!
Oh my goodness, JoL. I guess I never told you the story of my choice of decor. Now you know.
Great writing Lois. SMA is one of our favorite places in Mexico.
I’ll look for you and Mrs. Zoll next time I’m there.
Wonderful piece, madam. I long to visit this place, but boy, is it expensive to get there from London.

Wow! The Santuario de Atotonilco looks like a graphic novel. . .with many pages.
It is stunning! Put it on your travel list, Bill. You will be happy you did.
Wonderful photos in this piece, Lois. Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
Another fun read Lois! It was almost like I was there.
You were.

Gonzo! We were like two ships passing in the night in Central Mexico. Auntie M’s Aunt Boots podcast sounds interesting. I bet it was a real success!
I’m sure you have some interesting stories to share about the Tequila route.
Best to you and Auntie M!
